Where can writers and authors promote on Reddit?
We read the rules of 40 Reddit communities for writers and authors. 8 allow sharing your own work (most with conditions), 11 only in a dedicated thread, and 13 restrict it. Every community links to its own rule text and the date we read it.
What this page is
This page lists 40 communities for writers and authors, whose rules ThreadFox read between 2026-09-24 and 2026-10-07. Each community's page quotes the rules it lists (or says it listed none); the quoted text is the community's, the verdicts are our reading. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and each community's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post in these communities? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once from your own Chrome with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules and finds communities too.
