What this page is
This page quotes r/zapier's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/zapier's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

What its rules say about promotion
Add Value, Stay On-Topic, and Don't Advertise
Share valuable Zapier-related content that adds to the community. Low-effort, off-topic posts, and crossposts will be removed at the mods' discretion. We appreciate seeing your work, links, and automation gigs. We *don't* appreciate spam links or "DM" spam to sign up for paid offers. Think in terms of "how does this add value to the subreddit" not "how do I get people to smash my follow button." If you want to promote your Zapier-related business, do it by showing off what you’ve built!
Comparing Zapier and Competitors
No problem, we love talking about features! Outright promotion or recommendation of other automation tools will be removed.
All 7 rules of r/zapier
- Be Supportive, Respectful, and Inclusive
Everyone is welcome here, whether you're new to Zapier or a seasoned pro. Be patient and kind. Not everyone is an expert, so be the leader you wish you had when you were starting. Debate is cool. Disrespect isn't. Adhere to the [Reddiquette guide](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette). - Add Value, Stay On-Topic, and Don't Advertise

Don't redirect users to DMs, your profile, or suggest taking the conversation elsewhere in order for them to get an answer. If you can help others, do so in the comments. Replies designed to push users off-thread will be removed at the mods' discretion. - Keep it Safe
Zapier staff will *never ask* for account details or billing info in this subreddit. Neither will we send you any DMs here regarding job postings. All Zapier job postings exist on [the Zapier Job Board](https://zapier.com/jobs). - Got a Specific Question About Your Zapier Account?
Contact the mods or [fill out our contact form](https://zapier.com/app/get-help) and we’ll help you out, no need to create a public thread. - Mods May Remove Content or Users that Violate the Spirit or Rules of the Community.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
