What this page is

This page quotes r/LLMDevs's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-07. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/LLMDevs's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

No commercial self-promotion: Share openly, not for profit.
Posts or comments promoting yourself, your brand, or content for monetary gain will be removed without warning. To encourage members to share their projects, advertising is allowed with these restrictions: - The free version must be functionally identical to any other version — no locked features behind a paywall / commercial / "pro" license - Must be [FOSS-licensed](https://w.wiki/9iAV) *OR* meet all three: 1. [source-available](https://w.wiki/AimN) 2. prior mod approval 3. clear disclaimer
Be genuine: No disguised advertising or marketing
Posts pretending to be requests for help, feedback, or discussion but actually serving as marketing will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal of the post and a permanent ban from this community. This includes astroturfing, sockpuppeting, failing to mention your affiliation, shilling, pitching, outreach posts, offering and/or soliciting paid work.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
