What this page is
This page quotes r/Upwork's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Upwork's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? No Outside Promotion
We do not allow the promotion of any outside tools or extensions due to spam and inability to check for any malicious purposes.

It's not hard. Don't be an immense douchebag. Leave your frustration out of this sub - Off site guides are not allowed
Due to the large amount of spam, outside guides and videos are not allowed. If you wish to help other freelancers with your guides, you can write a reddit post and mention your website, but direct links are not allowed. - Hiring or finding work in this subreddit is not allowed.
This subreddit was not made to find freelancers or find work, but to discuss Upwork-related matters. Other subreddits are ready to accommodate you, so do not post For Hire or Hiring posts or comments here. - No Outside Promotion
We do not allow the promotion of any outside tools or extensions due to spam and inability to check for any malicious purposes. - AMA Posts are NOT allowed
We will no longer allow AMA type posts. If you have something to say just say it. Engage in the community. But these posts serve no purpose are often filled with bad advice and sarcastic responses.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
