What this page is

This page quotes r/TechSEO's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/TechSEO's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Don't be a shill
We have a lot of members who work at awesome companies and we want to know what you are up to. This is not a marketing channel for your company. We will remove any posts that seem like advertising or for promotion only. This is a community for Technical SEO to discuss topic, not your companies free marketing channel.
All 4 rules of r/TechSEO
  1. Be nice: no offensive behavior, insults or attacks
We encourage a diverse community in which members feel safe and have a voice.
  2. Make your post clear, comprehensive, and technical SEO related.
Posts that lack insight or effort will be removed. (ex: questions which are easily googled). Posts that are off topic will also be removed.
  3. Beginner, generic, or career related questions go elsewhere
Post beginner questions in /r/seo. Non technical SEO questions, post in /r/BigSEO. Local SEO questions post in /r/localseo
  4. Don't be a shill

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
