What this page is
This page quotes r/swift's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-09-26. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/swift's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? What its rules say about promotion
Rule III - Must be an original source
Make the original source of the content your submission, and do not use URL shorteners. If a mirror is necessary, please provide one in comments. No hotlinking or rehosting someone else's work (unless they specifically allow it in their terms of use or request it). Post direct links to your source.
Rule V - Self Promotion
Self promotion is tolerated for people that are contributing to the community by answering questions and engaging in constructive discussions. Fewer than 5% of your posts (including comments) should be self promotion. If you have fewer than 5 posts/comment on the sub, or your account is less than 2 month old, self promotion is not allowed. Note: If your post is about a job opening, you *must* include the name of the company and a salary range, otherwise your post will be removed.
All 5 rules of r/swift
- Rule I - Must be relevant to Swift
Your post should be related to The Swift Programming Language. We get it, Taylor Swift is great but unless she's starting a new career as a Swift developer, we don't need to know about it. - Rule II - Be Respectful
We know you're passionate about Swift but, please be respectful and follow reddiquette. Any form of abuse, discrimination (whether racial, sexual, religious etc) or any vulgar comments/posts are not tolerated. - Rule III - Must be an original source
Make the original source of the content your submission, and do not use URL shorteners. If a mirror is necessary, please provide one in comments. No hotlinking or rehosting someone else's work (unless they specifically allow it in their terms of use or request it). Post direct links to your source. - Rule IV - Asking Questions
Before posting your question, use the search bar to make sure your question has not been answered before. If you think your question is simple, please post it in the monthly pinned thread titled "Got an easy question? Ask it here!" - Rule V - Self Promotion
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
