What this page is

This page quotes r/MusicPromotion's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-09-26. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/MusicPromotion's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

What its rules say about promotion

Do NOT advertise services
We do not accept any Advertising of your brand, services or channels. Pure MUSIC is what we want to see here.
Keep SELF-PROMO at minimum
We do encourage Self Promotion on this subreddit. However, don't overdo it. Be smart, polite and post only under Reddit rules. Please do not advertise your music on others post as well.

What its rules say about AI and bots

AI-Generated Content Must Be Labeled
AI-generated audio must use the “AI-Generated” flair and clearly disclose AI use in the post or a top-level comment. This includes AI vocals, instrumentals, beats, stems, or full tracks (Suno, Udio, etc.). Failure to label AI content will result in removal. Repeat or intentional mislabeling may lead to bans.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
