  2. Keep Content Relevant to Mobile Gaming
    Submissions that include of the following may be removed and the offending user may be banned per moderator discretion: political or religious beliefs of anyone, regardless of whether the person is relevant to Mobile Gaming or not.
  3. Promote Moderately
    Created content must be posted without requests to like, comment, subscribe, or donate. Multiple violations will result in a temporary ban and subsequent breaking of this rule can result in permanent ban.
  4. Maintain High Quality Content
    Every post should strive to provide a space for meaningful discussion. Keep your titles descriptive and provide context. Do not use all caps/clickbait/low effort titles. An example of a good descriptive title will be self-explanatory on its own.
  5. Game Developer Rules
    Game developers are welcome to share their games and gather feedback, but promotional posts and download links are not allowed.
  6. Content Creator Rules
    The audience for r/MobileGaming are general mobile gamers. As such we do not allow general gameplay of any mobile games unless the intention is to provide a review or critique of the mobile game. Note: content created by game developers are not in the scope of this rule. For game developers, please refer to rule #5.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
