- its rules on Reddit
Reddit's largest men's fashion community. Making clothing less intimidating and helping you develop your own style. We welcome those who want to learn and those who want to contribute. We aim to foster an environment where everybody feels safe and welcomed and where people feel encouraged to have healthy and productive discussions. Note this sub focuses on clothing not hair style, skincare, etc.
What its rules say about promotion
Posts must be relevant and promote discussion
r/malefashionadvice is primarily a Q&A and discussion forum. If your post exists simply to tell other people about something, that does not promote discussion that is useful, then it probably doesn't belong here. For further details, see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/wiki/rules/#wiki_2._all_posts_must_request_or_give_advice
No Marketing
We prohibit all forms of marketing, including self-promotion, advertisements, blog posts, video-blogs, market research, product feedback, and more. Violations will lead to post/comment removal and user bans. The only exceptions are Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, but brands must be cleared by mods and follow specific guidelines. Online crowdfunding campaigns, referral links, direct product release links, market research, and academic research are also not allowed and will result in bans.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
