What its rules say about promotion
Promotional Content
This community is not for self-promotion (channels, groups, forums, discord) or content in monetary means - including any forms of products, services, brands/shops, and surveys. This rule applies to both posts and comments.
All 6 rules of r/lofi
- Follow Reddiquette
The standard rules that are embedded within reddit will be strictly enforced. You are able to read on what they entail and expand upon them [here](https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439). - Appropriate Titles
It is unecessary to flood the title with tags or extra irrelevant information. The title should also not have questions or request for users to partake in a action (subscribe, vote, visit, beg..etc.). Simply include the artist/group and the title - nothing more/less. - Promotional Content
This community is not for self-promotion (channels, groups, forums, discord) or content in monetary means - including any forms of products, services, brands/shops, and surveys. This rule applies to both posts and comments. - No Low Quality Content
All content must be direct (use the reddit uploader for images) and relevant to the realms of lofi. It should also be of a high resolution/quality. Screenshots or over cropped images are not allowed. The content should also not exceed over 6 minutes - meaning loop tracks of 1 hour (for example) are not allowed. All content must be full, meaning it should not be short teasers, with the full being posted elsewhere. When sharing, mobile links are not allowed. - Provide Content Source
When applicable, provide the content source in comments via hyperlink. If are you are the original artist - indicate by utilizing the OC tag (+OC button) prior to submitting. Watermark in the content is allowed but should be minimal, and not be an obstruction. All social links/credit for OC content must be in the comments and not in the title. - Post Limitation
The current limit for each user is 4 post maximum per 24 hours, with a minimum of a 2 hour gap inbetween. This is subject to change accordingly.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
