What this page is

This page quotes r/linkedin's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/linkedin's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

This subreddit is run by the community, not LinkedIn. It's your space to get the most out of the platform: grow your career, boost your job search, ask questions, or swap tips. Having account issues? Totally understand the frustration. Check the Community Bookmarks. If your account's been restricted and support has made a final decision, we can't change the outcome here. Best to reply to your case with questions. If you have account access issues, please check out the Community Bookmarks.

What its rules say about promotion

No selling Premium or access to your account
To keep our community focused and free from unsolicited promotions, we don’t allow posts or messages trying to sell or push LinkedIn Premium or Premium discount offers. We also won’t allow the sale of your account to another member. It’s against LinkedIn’s Terms of Service.
No 3rd party plug-ins
No offers or requests for third party services that violate LinkedIn's User Agreement. LinkedIn has a strict system in place for what plugins and scripts can collect information from LinkedIn or integrate with your account. We are not going to create a platform that hosts items that may get others banned.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI / auto engagement tools (aka pods)
Do not use or suggest automated tools that drive or create engagement.
All 8 rules of r/linkedin
  1. Be Nice
Conversations that begin with open minds create the ability to grow our relationships and our careers. If comments detract from a safe and productive conversation, they will be removed.
  3. No paid resume reviews
Resume critique threads are fine, but this community does not support paid resume reviews.
  5. No AI / auto engagement tools (aka pods)
Do not use or suggest automated tools that drive or create engagement.
  6. No Links 🚫
To keep things clean and spam-free, we’ve turned off external links. The only exception is sharing your LinkedIn profile if you're asking for feedback. Please don’t copy and paste full articles either—it clutters the space. Breaking this rule will get you banned right away, no warnings. Thanks for keeping the community spam-free!
  7. Let’s Keep It Helpful
We’re all for honest feedback and real talk. Constructive criticism is totally welcome. But let’s steer clear of low-quality posts or constant venting without solutions. This space works best when we’re all aiming to support, learn, and grow together.
  8. Account issues in weekly mega thread only
Due to excessive posts about issues with accounts, all related items should be in our weekly pinned mega thread. We encourage you to review info there to see if you can find your solution. This includes but is not limited to accounts being frozen, banned, issues with verification, being hacked, etc.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
