What its rules say about AI and bots

AI content must be disclosed & have a purpose
AI generated or AI edited content is allowed when clearly disclosed and used to help with a genuine interior decorating question, idea or visualization. If you’re using AI to visualize changes to a real space, include the real/original photo whenever possible so members have actual context to work from. Not allowed: AI generated rooms, homes, projects or designs presented or implied to be real. This includes fake “my living room,” “what do you think of my home?” or “look what I designed” posts

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
