What this page is
This page quotes r/GradSchool's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-09-26. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/GradSchool's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about AI and bots
Posts and comments must foster reasonable discussion. (No memes. No LLM-generated content.)
All posts and comments must foster reasonable discussion, e.g. no memes, pictures of text, insults, or mere celebratory/commiserative posts. Posts which appear to be primarily written by an LLM such as Chat-GPT are also not a good fit for this sub, as they do not reflect an authentic contribution to discussion.
No spam or spammy self-promotion
This includes bots. For new redditors, please read this wiki: https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion Users found engaging in spam or spammy self-promotion will be permanently banned.
Keep Megathread Posts in the Megathread
All posts related to a current Megathread should be added as comments to that Megathread, instead of creating a new post. For posts about AI usage in grad school, see "Weekly Megathread - AI in Grad School" For posts about time management, see "Weekly Megathread - Time Management in Grad School"

Go to r/gradadmissions instead. - Keep Megathread Posts in the Megathread

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
