What this page is

This page quotes r/Gaming4Gamers's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-09-26. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Gaming4Gamers's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Self-Promotion Rule
Self-promotion must follow the official guidelines listed on the sticky at the top of the sub, and in the rules of reddit.
All 11 rules of r/Gaming4Gamers
  1. No Platform elitism
“A master gaming race is not defined by the hardware wielded, but the passion with which they embrace their game.” This community was created with the intention of uniting all gamers together, not for console championing.
  2. Must Be Gaming Related (no image macros/memes)
All posts must have direct relation with games or gaming, and should attempt to avoid potential hostile social, political, racial, or sexual content.
  3. Link Flair
Make sure to assign link flair to all of your posts.
  4. No Low Effort / NSFW / Survey Posts
Material that could be (within reason) deemed inappropriate, either racially, sexually, politically, or socially, is strictly prohibited. We also do not allow surveys or polls. Please do not message the mod team for an exception to be made. Our readers are not your data pool.
  5. Self-Promotion Rule
Self-promotion must follow the official guidelines listed on the sticky at the top of the sub, and in the rules of reddit.
  6. Spoilers Must Be Tagged
For comments, format spoilers as: [Sonic is a hedgehog](/spoiler) [Sonic is a hedgehog](/spoiler) [Sonic is a](#s "hedgehog") [Sonic is a](#s "hedgehog")
  7. Product Requests & Giveaways Require Approval
All product requests and giveaways must first be approved by the mods.
  8. No Negativity Towards Other Subreddits
We want to maintain friendly relationships with all other reddit communities - this is done by keeping a clean slate and not foul-mouthing other communities. Mentioning other subreddits is fine, talking about them in a negative way is not.
  9. Follow Reddiquette and the Rules of Reddit.
Following [**Reddiquette**]( https://www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette) is encouraged. Following the [**Rules of Reddit**]( https://www.reddit.com/rules/) is required.
  10. No Politics and/or Social Agendas
This is a place to talk about games, gaming, and the surrounding communities. This is not a place to argue politics.
  11. No Surveys
No Surveys. Our readers are not your data pool.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
