What this page is

This page quotes r/flask's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-09-26. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/flask's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI Slop
No linking to content that is AI generated, even partially, unless you prominently indicate the content is AI generated. No posts written by AI. AI used for human language translation is permitted.
All 5 rules of r/flask
  1. All posts must relate to Flask.
All posts must pertain to The Pallets Projects' Flask in some way. If your post doesn't involve Flask, consider checking out r/Python. All posts require a flair - please select the most appropriate one.
  2. Be thorough when asking for help.
If you’re encountering an error or if your code won’t behave as expected, include as much detail as possible. This includes: - Error messages (if applicable) - Relevant code from your program. [Please be nice and format your code!](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/markdown#wiki_code_blocks_and_inline_code) - Context - where is the code running? What steps have you taken so far? Help r/Flask help you! And when your question has been solved, mark it with the "Solved" flair.
  3. Provide details when sharing your work.
Remember that others will be learning from your experience. Consider discussing what you learned, challenges you encountered, and best of all, the project source code.
  4. No spamming or repeated self-promotion.
Posting your personal project/tutorial multiple times, spamming post comments, or any other kind of repetitive self-promotion will result in a temporary ban. Repeat offenders will be banned permanently.
  5. No AI Slop
No linking to content that is AI generated, even partially, unless you prominently indicate the content is AI generated. No posts written by AI. AI used for human language translation is permitted.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
