Can you promote on r/cpp?

What this page is
This page quotes r/cpp's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/cpp's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

- NO AI CONTENT
AI-generated posts and comments are NOT allowed in this subreddit. DON'T use AI to "polish" or translate your words. We WILL notice. We MAY ban you without warning. - Question/Help Posts
Questions and help posts are off-topic for this subreddit. Use r/cpp_questions, r/cscareerquestions, or StackOverflow instead. - Project Posts
Personal projects written in C++ should be shared in the pinned "Show and Tell" post. Only major, established libraries/tools used by C++ programmers are eligible for top-level posts (e.g. Clang, GCC, MSVC, Boost, fmt, if you’re not sure then send modmail). NO BUILD SYSTEMS. - Other Languages
Posts about other languages (e.g. Carbon, Rust, Val, etc.) are off-topic *unless* there is substantial content directed at C++ programmers writing C++. That is, either posts about interop from the C++ side, or posts about interesting ideas *from* another language that can be applied *to* C++. - Job Posts
Employers looking for C++ developers and individuals looking for work must use the pinned "C++ Jobs" post. - Off-Topic
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
