What this page is
This page quotes r/ComicBookCollabs's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-09-26. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/ComicBookCollabs's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
Looking for paid jobs requires a public portfolio
If you're looking for a paid job, you need to include a link to your public portfolio. It's also highly encouraged to link at least one social media account. When creating a hiring post, do not ask for direct messages/email/forms/etc., so that everyone interested in a paid job needs to respond in comments and show their portfolio publicly. Artists looking for unpaid collaborations don't need to have a portfolio.
Crowdfunding / Self-promo posts are reserved for active members
Self-promotion is reserved for active members of the sub. If you only make self-promo or crowdfunding posts with no other meaningful engagement in the sub, your posts might be removed. Note that offering your skills as an artist/colorist/writer/etc. for hire is not considered a self-promotion for purposes of this rule.
Follow the posting limits
For Hire posts: Once per 3 days Self-promo and Crowdfunding posts: Once per 7 days Looking for a collaborator - Unpaid: Once per 7 days
What its rules say about AI and bots
No AI
AI is not allowed in the sub. No AI-generated art, no AI-generated writing. That includes AI-generated posts and comments.
All 8 rules of r/ComicBookCollabs
- Be nice.
Be nice. Be reasonable. Be mature. We're all creatives here, and we should treat each other with respect - that is the core of collaboration. - Collaboration posts must have details
When looking for a collaborator, your post needs to have details about your project. Specify what kind of collaboration you're seeking. Include a summary of the work, your budget, your monetization plan, your previous experience. If you're a writer looking for an artist, be realistic with your expectations, especially if you're looking for an unpaid collaboration. Remember, it's your passion project, not theirs. Before you start looking for an artist, finish your script! - Looking for paid jobs requires a public portfolio

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
