What its rules say about promotion

Official Game Titles and Google Play Store Links Are Required.
When sharing or suggesting a game, you must include the official game title and Google Play Store link whenever possible. Vague or meme-style titles, third-party download links, mirror sites, referral pages, and other unofficial sources are not allowed. This requirement also applies to [DEV] posts.
No Piracy or APK/MOD/ROM Distribution.
Promoting or encouraging piracy is not allowed. Do not request, share, or offer links to pirated content, including host websites, ROMs, MODs, or APKs, even if they are (or were) originally available for free. This also includes telling others where or how to obtain such content (even by name), or asking / offering users to send via DM. **Violations will result in an immediate ban.**
Self-Promo Posts Must Start With [DEV] and Follow Self-Promo Guidelines.
Self-promotion is allowed for active r/AndroidGaming members only. DEVs wishing to promote their games must have an account that is at least a month old with 50 community karma and be consistently active in the subreddit in a non-promotional manner. Self-promo content is limited to one post every 30 days and must not exceed 10% of a user’s overall Reddit activity. If you are promoting or discussing your own game, you must include [DEV] at the beginning of the post title for transparency.

  1. No Offensive or Rude Behavior.
Keep discussions civil and respectful toward people of all backgrounds. Do not harass, insult, threaten, or attack other users. 2. Content Must Be Related to Android Gaming.
This subreddit is for discussing Android games, Android gaming news, Android gaming hardware/accessories, and related topics. General Android discussions or non-Android gaming content are not allowed. For broader discussions, consider communities such as r/Android or r/Gaming.
  3. NSFW Content Must Be Properly Marked.
All NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content must be properly tagged and labeled. Unmarked NSFW posts or comments will be removed.
  4. Official Game Titles and Google Play Store Links Are Required.

  6. Game Recommendation Posts Must Include [REQUEST] and Be Detailed.
All game recommendation posts must start with [REQUEST] in the title, provide a detailed description of what you are looking for, and contain at least three key features, preferences, or requirements so that other users can provide accurate suggestions.
  7. Self-Promo Posts Must Start With [DEV] and Follow Self-Promo Guidelines.

  8. Blogspam, Surveys, and Polls Are Not Allowed.
Content should link directly to the original source whenever possible. Surveys, questionnaires, and polls are not allowed.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
